AHCA BA Provider Alert: Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Telemedicine Claims Status Issue Resolved
Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Telemedicine Claims Status Issue Resolved
Telemedicine Claims for Behavior Analysis (BA)
Last week Tellus partnered with the Agency for Health Care Administration (Agency) to research why some BA claims that were successfully adjudicated in FMMIS were still appearing in the Tellus/Netsmart EVV system as “ACCEPTED.” This issue specifically pertained to claims that contained a GT modifier, identifying them as telemedicine claims. Agency guidance to use the GT modifier was provided in a previous Provider Alert related to COVID-19 flexibilities implemented by the Agency.
The Agency has provided Tellus with files that show the final adjudication status of such claims with dates of service back to December 1, 2020. Tellus has processed these files, so providers should see an updated status from “accepted” to “paid” or “denied” to reflect FMMIS adjudication status.
